Bold, action-oriented approaches and innovative solutions.
Friends of the Muskoka Watershed believes this is our best and most effective and efficient way forward in order to tackle the complex environmental challenges confronting Muskoka.
For 2017 and beyond, the following programs will receive our focused time, effort, financial resources and our love of and concern for Muskoka:
- Environment Care
- Muskoka Limnology Institute
- Muskoka Watershed Ecological Observation Network (MWEON)
- HATSEO – Hauling Ash To Solve Ecological Osteoporosis
We believe this work is vital to help ensure the Muskoka we have continues to be the Muskoka we love. We are driven in these efforts by our Philosophy and Roadmap. The Philosophy and Roadmap, and the programs and projects which it guides, are the realization of “Norm’s Crazy Ideas”, as we’ve come to call them. In reality, they are a bold, action-oriented vision for the health and wellbeing of Muskoka’s natural environment. Watch and listen as Dr. Yan lays out his (Not so) Crazy Ideas at the FMW AGM in 2015.
And we would sincerely appreciate your help as we step up to these challenges. When you donate to the Friends of the Muskoka Watershed, you help provide essential financial resources allowing us to continue to perform these vital, high-quality, independent environmental research programs and projects. This has a direct, positive effect on maintaining and sustaining the environmental health and vibrancy of Muskoka’s watersheds and, thereby, Muskoka’s economic health and vibrancy.
Please consider becoming a Friend or one of our Patrons or Benefactors.
We are sincerely grateful for the generosity and commitment of all of our members and donors. Thank you.
